Psychological health and safety in the workplace refers to "a workplace that actively works to prevent psychological harm to employees and provides the support, knowledge, and skills to address it when harm occurs." While workplace safety traditionally focused on physical harm, there is a growing need to reduce psychological and emotional harm, creating a more comfortable and safe environment for employees. This directly impacts retention, team dynamics, workplace relationships, and overall quality of life. This session will explore key psychosocial factors for improving professional and personal well-being, such as clear leadership, work-life balance, respect, recognition, and the support employers must provide, including workload management and growth opportunities.
